TRTW(traveling round the world) is one of the most attractive subjects that
people love it. Most of them like to know about other countries, their cultures,
natures, tribes,
traditional ceremonies, historical places, etc. In this interview we will decide
to know more about our young couple who are going to do this great project:
Q: Please introduce yourselves and explain about your decision, Persian
travelers?
Mr.Gheidi: My name is Mahmoud Gheidi and i was born in 1976. My wife is
Masoumeh(Nazi) Amiri and she was born in 1973. We got married about 9 years ago.
Although we have graduated in electronic engineering but we didn't have any
normal life until yet! Going to the office and earning money regularly,
Never. When we obtained money we were going to the travel! This is our life,
our goal, our dream.
In this way, gradually, our life changed and we wanted to meet our wish of child
hood. With help of god and hope to the bright days in the future, we designed
this travel.
Q: Did you have any experience of traveling in the past?
Ms. Amiri: yes, of course. Inside of IRAN and some countries by train, ship,
airplane, or our car. But one day we understood that it’s better we have an aim
or a goal and useful results of our trips. Going without any careful design or
any program isn’t enough. Therefore we decided to go to the “Silk Road”. One of
the most important thing in our idea is sharing of our experiences with others
especially with young generation. As you know, most of countries in central
Asia in ancient times were part of Persian’s Emperor , so we wanted to know them
in this century in the “Silk Road”.
Q: What is difference between tourists and world’s travelers?
Mr. Gheidi: unfortunately, most of the people think that there isn’t any
difference. But there is. When you will have good money and a reserved hotel or
ticket of airplane, travel will be happy and easy, but if you don’t know in the
night, where will stay to rest? What will happen in the roads? Maybe the robbers
, maybe bad illnesses or bad weather, not enough money, in this situation you
will need to be clever, brave, resistant against all of problems more than
before! Then you will be a world’s traveler not a tourist!
Although in the first look TRTW is very adventurous and interesting but the
route isn’t smooth!
Q: you know this type of traveling isn’t easy especially for women because of
their physical. From what you are afraid more than others?
Ms.Amiri: As my husband said in this path there are lots of dangers and no safe
roads but I am afraid of sickness , only. Unfortunately in most of countries
where we will visit standard of health and hygiene isn’t high. Of course we
have vaccination but…
Q: Why have you chosen the motorcycle?
Mr. Gheidi: Because of understanding new, attractive experience we decided to
choose motorcycle. Unfortunately, we couldn’t have lots of choices for buying
touring motorcycle in our country! So after consulting to specialists, finally
we bought “Moto Guzzi” 1980, made by Italy. Now we are repairing and preparing
it.
Q: Please tell us about other preparations?
Mr. Gheidi: Research and studying in our route, special places in countries,
their roads, societies and all of information that we will need, learning the
first medical aids for emergency happens, learning repair of motorcycle,
learning language of espanol, design and make wears of motor, design and make
boxes, getting necessary certificates for taking motor from custom,
international driving licenses, etc
Q: Please, explain more about your goals?
Ms. Amiri: As you know our motto is “to praise the life”. It means that we are
like an ambassador who wants to extend wave of life and hope to the green world
in the future in other countries from Iran. This is like a mission for us to
send kindness, friendship, wish of peace and green life from Iran to the world.
Persians are peace-loving people. We will try to show to the other countries,
life is a gift to the human from God, and we should praise it in all of
conditions. We hope that in the future all of borders will be broken and we will
live in “The World’s village”. We want to encourage new generation to TRTW, too.
And to speaking and contacting closely to others, we will try to know them and
they know Persia and Persians more.
Q: How many days it will take and from which countries you will pass?
Mr. Gheidi: We plan to do it about 800 days but we think it will be taken more.
We will have wasted days to get some Visas , or some events which we can’t
anticipate them. We will pass from five continents, Turkey, Greek, Italy,
France, Spain, Portugal, U.S.A., Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, Panama, Ecuador,
Colombia( if is safe!), Bolivia, Peru, Chile, South Africa(if is safe!),
Tanzania, Madagascar, Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Saudi
Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Syria, Iraq,
Lebanon.
Maybe some problems like war, not getting visa, etc. cause to have changes.
Q: Which places in these countries will attract you more than others?
Ms. Amiri: 2 Roads are important for us: Santiago road in north of Spain and
south of France and Cheguvara road in South America. In north of Africa and
Middle East, or India and south of Spain we want to research about old
civilization and places or important historical regions where Persian art and
culture or Islamic architecture affected them.
Q: How you will connect to other people in during your travel?
Mr. Gheidi: We hope to invite us to their home to know their way of lives more
and their ceremonies. In addition, we will have meetings in some universities or
cultural associations. We will distribute papers and Brochures with nice images
of Iran. We didn’t have enough time to learn all of language!! But we learnt
Spanish, because the people in the most of countries in South America speak to
Spanish.
Q: When you will start and go out of Iran?
Mr.Gheidi: When Conditions of climate and weather will be better and then we
will move between 20 and 30 April.
Q: About costs of travel, what are you thinking?
Ms. Amiri: For the first step, we sold our car and bought a motorcycle and then
bought other thing that we need like, sleeping bags, travel stove, etc. We have
a small apartment in Tehran, we will rent it for our costs. By sending pictures
or reports to some magazines and the newspapers, maybe we can earn money. But we
hope to find sponsors to continue more and do it better. We will hope to be
supported, to be helped.
Q: Would you like to say anything to the people?
Mr.Gheidi: Certainly, this type of travel needs unanimity and helping of others.
We want to connect people in all of world and we will live with them, we hope
that they understand our plan and ourselves and then help us. We hope Iranians
in Iran or out of country help and support us, we will need to this cooperation
deeply.
On the road again
Out of the mist
Along shadows
So free to sing in
tune with the world!
